  Since I was in my first year in the university, I thought in do a post-course when I finish my studies but until today I am not sure about what type of course I would like to do. First, I have to know which is my favorite area in journalism and currently I think that write about notices is the thing that I like most. But, also I like make audio news videos, such as documentaries or things like that, then I have to choose between a course of write journalism or learn how to make better documentaries. In the future without covid 19, I would like do a on site course because for me that it’s the best way to learn more and practice. Also, I like travel generally then I would love to do a postgraduate course abroad because I could learn about my profession and also know about other countries and cultures. Right now I am studing journalism in the Universidad de Chile, I am in my third year in this carrer and I decided study journalism because since i was a child i liked read and write stories about events that i liked. When i was in the school i wanted study a career related to read and write. My options was be a lawyer or a journalist, finally i decided for the last one because i liked the news and the major events that happen around the world.  When I finish the university , after a few years , I would like to create my own medium of communication about music,   but if I can’t do that I imagine my future working in a magazine or a newspaper, because I like to write about important news and art articles. When I was in the school, one of my favorite subject was music class because in my school, Colegio Don Bosco, we had many instruments, like drums, guitars and bass. My teacher called Rodrigo Estrada was a good teacher but he didn’t want that the students play the instruments because we could broke them, then we had to learn more theory and history about music. Personally I liked learn about that but my classmates hated it because sometimes it was so bored for them. Until today mi favorite activity is listen music, I enjoy that like the first time and also the music helps me to relax when I am sad or stressed. I think that it’s very important and interesting know more about the history of music because you can learn all the importants events that happen in the world and how the music influenced that or no.   One of my favorite hobbies is investigate things and search information, that’s why I   decided study journalism because since i was a child i liked read and write stories about events that i liked. When i was in the school i wanted study a career related to read and write and I thought that journalism was the best option and I think that was a good decision. My favorite topics to investigate is   the history, especially the history of the art because I like know more about the historical moments of the humanitiy and how the art change some events of our history. Also, I like investigate about the music because the music has a lot of interesting things related to his bands, genres and important events. That’s why in the future i would like work in a newspaper or a magazine dedicated to this topics because i could learn mor e about history and music and write interesting articles about that.

In my entire life I have not been in too many concerts because generally I prefer listen music in my house and listen better the sound of the songs but I have been in two concerts.   My favorite was the “Cumbre del rock chileno”, this festival was held in 2017 in Santiago, specifically in the Estadio Nacional.   The concert was an all day festival which 20 bands but the most important for me was Jorge Gonzalez because that was his last concert and he is one of my favourite musicians of my life. The atmosphere in the event was very hard because it was in the Estadio Nacional and that day was an extremely sunny and hot day because was in the summer. The people was very happy because all the bands were very good and they played music all day. Also the concert was very emotional and a little bit sad because it was the last concert of Jorge Gonzalez and he gives a award to the musician Alvaro Henriquez for him career.

  Since I was a child I liked the music and one of my favorite bands of all times are the beatles, because they are the best band in the history of music. For that reason, I always have been interested in England because that’s the country where the beatles borned and many other greats bands too. Personally, I don’t know too much about England but I have seen pictures of some places and I was fascinated with the arquitecture of the streets and the historical monuments because they still look good. If someday I could travel to England I would like to visit some historical places and stores of music for learn more about that. Also I would like eat a typical food of there like fish and chips or a Sunday Roast, because I have listened that they are very good. Finally, maybe in the future, I would like study english in that country because I want learn more languajes and I thing that England it’s a country where I could study, learn and enjoy his attraction every day.

When I was a child I don’t watched many programs on tv but I remember some of cartoons that I loved. First, Dragon ball z was my favorite serie when I was a child, I watched all the episodes on tv and youtube. I don’t know why I liked the serie but I loved it. I remember all the days after the school I arrived to my home and I started to watch Dragon ball, I think that the powers of the characters were real and I was very sad when I realize that their not. When I grow up I started to watch other series like Los pulentos and 31 minutos, these series liked me for the music that they had, because they was very good. These series were my company during my childhood and some of them I still watching. Now, I watch another series like Prision Break, Vikings and Peaky Blinders.

This year has been very especial for the humanity and a historical moment for the society. Personally, I will never forget this year for many things. These days of quarantine I have been thinking about the time that we have in our lives and what we do with our time. First, when I remember the life before the pandemic I think that many people had a life dedicated exclusively to the work or university without rest, also the people was very disconnect with their friends and family because they didn’t have time for talk with them. Now, I think that the covid 19 has forced people to change their lifes and reflect about the important thigs for them, like the communication and develop of their hobbies. The question that I have is ¿will these changes stay after the pandemic or they will be removed next to the virus?. I admire a lot of people, especially journalists that make a good job. One of my favorite journalist is Julio Pradanos. Julio was a chilean journalist, dedicated to the sports, particulary to the football. He was born in 1923 in Temuco and his parents were from Spain. Julio was a big fan of the team Union Española and when he was a child his father always took him   to the stadium. In 1945 Pradanos started to work as journalist in a radio called “Clinica Deportiva”. He has worked in a lot of works, some examples are Las ultimas noticias and Deporte total in Radio Mineria but his most important moment was in the Soccer World Cup played in Chile in 1962, where he was the most important journalist.I like Julio Pradanos because he was a good writer and very creative, also today he is a historical icon of the national football. For these reasons, the national stadium of Chile was named Julio Pradanos in honor of the outstanding journalist

I choosed this picture because it is a memory of my life. In the picture you can see my first new year in Santiago, specifically in the Estadio Nacional. I am from Iquique and i arrived to Santiago 2 years ago. It was a very important change in my life but i like Santiago because is a big city and i can study journalism in the university. Anyway, in 2018 my family went to the capital to see me and celebrate the new year together. We went to the Estadio Nacional in Ñuñoa, where i live now, and i liked so much the Fireworks and i decided take a picture to remember that moment. I like this picture because it shows the emotion of that moment and also you can see to the people celebrating the new year together. I will never forget that moment for my family and for the happiness that i felt.

A 5 years ago, my family and i decided adopt a pet and my aunt give us the son of her dog, a little puppy called Isis. When Isis arrived to my house she was so sad because her mother was far away but in a few weeks she was very happy again. In the first days Isis wanted to play all day because she had a lot of energy but at the same time she was a very peaceful dog. Now she is 4 years old and she   is very obedient but she is more lazy. Isis is very important for my family and for me because we love her and my life whitout Isis would be boring because i couldnt play with her.

My favorite piece of technology is the computer because it has a lot of uses and is multifunctional. Also, the computer is very dinamic because i can take it wherever i want. I got my first computer when i was in the school and i used it for do my homeworks and watch videos. Now i use my computer for study, listen music,   participate in online clases in university and talk with my friends. I turn on my computer almost every day except when i am tired and i dont want use it. My life without my computer would be very difficult and bored because i could not do my homework and search information for study. Also i could not   connect with my friends but anyway i have my cellphone to use it.

My name is Francisco Torres,   I was born   in 8 march 2000 in Iquique, far away from Santiago, I used to live with my mom, my sister, my grandparents and my dog.   My house was a few meters from the beach so i could go when i wanted. I like to listen music and play instruments on my own time. In 2018 I moved to Santigo to study journalism in the university so i had to go away from my family for a long time but in my second year in the university my sister came to live whit me in Santiago and it was great.
